When You Submit a Resume in a Job Search
|
| |
|
When you decide to participate in a Job Search,
your participation is subject to AJR's Job Seeker User Agreement, which is
posted here. You are asked to register with ajr.org and to submit a resume.
Your resume details are captured by the Web site and held in a file. When
you fill out the resume format, you are asked to list four criteria for the
job you are seeking: salary, industry, position, state. These four criteria
are matched with the employer's posted categories. When all four points
match, that employer is sent your full resume by e-mail.
|
| |
|
You are
given access to your own resume information all the time, by following
instructions on the resume screen. You may access your resume and criteria
at any time, change its content or withdraw it from publication.
|
| |
|
No Web
site user can find your resume or learn the fact that you have registered a
job search unless they are an employer, offering a job with the same four
criteria you have selected and registered with us as a Job Advertiser. No
other type of advertiser can collect your personal information from this Web
site. The information we collect is never sold to any third party, nor
shared with AJR's business partners, or with the University of Maryland or
its College of Journalism.
|
| |
|
However, we may provide our advertisers
and/or our University of Maryland affiliates with demographic information
and totals about the users of the Employment Section (but not as
individuals) that will better target ads to specific types of visitors.
Also, we do collect all e-mail addresses. We reserve the right to use those
for AJR's advertising purposes or to contact you again about the AJR
Employment Section program.

|
When You Place An Advertisement for Job Seekers
|
| |
|
To participate in the 'help wanted' feature in the AJR
Employment section, you agree to abide by our Job Advertiser's Agreement,
which is posted here. You are asked to register with ajr.org and to submit a
job description. These details are captured by the Web site and held in a
file. When you create the job description, you are asked to select four
categories for the job you are offering. These four categories are matched
with four criteria checked off by job seekers. When all four points match,
your job description is sent to every job seeker whose criteria match your
category.
|
| |
|
You are given access to your own information all the time, by
following instructions on the advertisement screen. You may access your
advertisement at any time, change its terms or withdraw it from publication.
The Job Advertiser's Agreement terms determine the payment due for the
advertisement, no matter when the advertising is taken off-line. When you
post an advertisement, you will be billed for payment after the initial
promotion period.
|
| |
|
The Job Advertisers' information will not be sold
to any third party, nor shared with AJR's business partners, or with the
University of Maryland or its College of Journalism.
|
| |
|
However, we may
provide our advertisers with demographic information about the users of the
Employment Section (but not as individuals) that will better target ads to
specific types of visitors. Also, we do collect all e-mail addresses. We
reserve the right to use those for AJR's advertising purposes or to contact
you again about the AJR Employment Section program.
