The American Society of Newspaper Editors, the Society of Professional Journalists and UNITY: Journalists of Color Inc. all experience high-level changes. At ASNE, Executive Director Lee Stinnett retires July 1, paving the way for Scott Bosley, a former managing editor of both the Detroit Free Press and Akron Beacon Journal, to step in. Bosley, 55, begins working as a consultant for the organization this month. While still searching for a permanent executive director, SPJ names David Cox, who recently spent six years as editor of the Terre Haute, Indiana, Tribune-Star, to the post on an interim basis. Cox, one of nine final candidates for the permanent job, fills in for Dennis Norris, who left in May after a short eight months to head the Leukemia Society of America's Indiana chapter. Catalina Camia, national president of the Asian American Journalists Association, takes the one-year term as president of UNITY, replacing Kara Briggs, president of the Native American Journalists Association. ###
